this is what happens when suzanami fics.
Someone asked about my oooold fic. Here's a couple that are embarrassing because they're honest-to-god straight-up fluff (also comparing eyes to emeralds my god), but they're pretty enough, so I'm sharing them here. :>
You might remember them. "Beautiful" (late 2001) and "The Moments After" (early 2002).
Oh, God, those eyes... It almost hurts to look into them. They're such a deep, soft green, like the grass after it rains... like emeralds, only so much more beautiful... and precious. I could spend the rest of my life looking into her eyes and I'd die happy.
She closes those gorgeous eyes, touching her forehead to mine. I kiss her eyelids softly, then her cute little nose. She opens her eyes again, leaning back just a little, a small smile on her face. The breeze plays with her honey-colored hair, teasing my fingers, which can't resist. I reach up, combing my fingers through her silk-like, golden locks. Her eyes close again as she leans her smooth cheek into my palm. The sunlight filters through the tree we are sitting under, picking out golden glints in her hair.
I sigh to myself. This is heaven. This is paradise. Nothing could be better than this, nothing. Her eyes are still closed. I lean in, laying my lips on hers, closing my own eyes. I feel her lips responding, kissing me back softly. Little kisses. Sweet little kisses. Our lips must have been made for each other; they feel so right together.
After a few blissful moments, she breaks the kiss, leaning back and smiling shyly at me. I smile, too, butterflies in my stomach, just like whenever she smiles at me. We don't need words; I can read everything her heart is saying in those eyes of hers, those amazing, amazing eyes. They say that she loves me more than life itself, that she wants to be with me until the day she dies. I hope my eyes are saying the same.
She blinks slowly, tilting her head down slightly and looking up at me. I try not to throw myself on her; she just looks... so... cute... She pulls at the white ribbon in her hair, serving as a headband. It slides out of its bow and her hair tumbles into her face. My heart races as she smiles at me, twirling the silk ribbon around her index finger. I watch her fingers. They're so slender and graceful, so soft...
I reach over, taking her hand and kissing her fingers lightly, my eyes on her face. She smiles again at my touch, biting her bottom lip shyly. I pull her closer by pulling her hand against my chest. She sighs happily, resting her head in the crook of my neck, her soft breath sending shivers down my spine. Does she have any clue what she does to me? How crazy she makes me?
I feel soft kisses on my neck and I shudder, bringing a hand up to the back of her neck. I let my fingers trail gently down her slender back. I guess it tickles her, because she giggles. I smile, taking her chin in my hand and gazing once again into her eyes. "Beautiful" is the only word coming to mind as I look into her face.
She leans in again, brushing her soft lips lightly on mine. I can feel her breath on my chin, and I wrap both arms around her. I lick her warm lips a little, kissing her again, deeply this time. She leans into the kiss, locking her arms around my neck. My arms encircle her tiny waist, pulling her closer, forcing the kiss deeper yet.
The sudden cry of a bird startles us apart. We blink at each other, then laugh a little. Mmm... her laughter... That makes me have butterflies in my stomach, too. Her laughter subsides, and she traces the scars on my face with her finger, smiling still. My skin tingles where she touches me, and I smile back at her with gentle eyes.
She leans her mouth up to my ear, and I feel her warm breath as she whispers, "I love you, Ferio," in my ear, the first words we've spoken in over ten minutes. Whenever she says that she loves me, I feel like I'm melting. When she adds my name to the phrase, it almost makes me light-headed.
I take her face in my hands, smiling gently. "I know. And I love you, Fuu," I murmur.
"Hold me..." she whispers. I do, pulling her close. She snuggles into my chest, sighing happily. She's like a goddess... A beautiful goddess... My beautiful goddess. I kiss the top of her head, then rest my head on hers, rubbing her back lightly.
We stay like this until Hikaru comes to get us.
"The Moments After"
She's so warm.
I sigh softly as she touches my face, running her cool fingers down my cheek, her gaze riveted to mine. I smile a little, sliding my hand to the back of her neck and nuzzling my nose to hers tenderly. I lay a soft kiss on her upper lip, her green eyes still locked in mine. She murmurs my name, barely audible, and smiles slightly.
I watch her as she slowly closes her eyes, hiding those infinite depths from my sight. I kiss her eyelids lightly, my fingers travelling from her neck to her soft gold curls. I weave my fingers through her hair slowly and she lets out a soft almost-purr as I play with her hair. Her eyes slowly open half-way and her gaze burns into mine again.
Her eyes are /so/ green...
She's studying me, my eyes, trying to read what I'm thinking. I chuckle softly. She should know. I'm thinking about her. How beautiful, wonderful, perfect she is. How no one else ever has or ever could capture my soul the way she has. How much I love her, and these moments together.
I slide my arms around her bare waist, pulling her body to mine. A little, content sigh escapes her lips as she wraps her arms around me, hugging herself tight to me and burying her face in my chest. I can feel her soft breath against my skin and I tie my arms around her tighter, nuzzling my face deep into her neck. I can feel her heart; it's beating in time with my own. We are one, in this one moment, this one night.
After a few moments, she leans out of the embrace slightly, her soft hands cupping my face. Her eyes are reading mine again, reading all the insane love I feel for her. She presses her lips to mine, kissing me softly, tenderly, with all of the passion but none of the fire this time. I feel her pouring her soul into the kiss and I do the same, my fingers tied into her hair.
She finally breaks the kiss, but continues with soft, single, short butterfly kisses, stroking my face oh so gently as she does. "I love you," she whispers between kisses. When she finally pulls her face away, a little reluctantly, her eyes are smiling at me and I melt, running my hand gently over her curved hip.
I don't wish for the passion again. Not any time soon, anyway. In this moment, revelling in the love we've just made, I almost feel that we are one now than we were minutes ago. And I still cannot believe that this woman that I am holding doesn't think of herself as beautiful, or sexy or adorable. She is the most beautiful woman I have ever met. She has a very sexy side, a passionate side that only I know. And I adore her with every fiber in my body and every bit of my soul.
I roll onto my back and she snuggles up to me, her head pillowed on my chest, listening to my heartbeat. Her arms tie gently but tightly around my waist, stroking my side softly. I hold her as close as possible, inhaling her sweet scent deeply. I love her more than I could ever show her... But she knows, so I don't need to show her.
She sighs, content, as the beating of my heart lulls her to sleep. I hold my sleeping lover, rubbing her smooth back, wishing that this moment lasted forever.
But there's always tomorrow night.
